Privacy Choices & Opt-Out
Fog Data Science is committed to providing consumers with clear ways to exercise their privacy choices regarding commercially available device location data.
You can use this page to opt your device identifier out of Fog Data Science data services or, where applicable, submit a request to exercise additional rights under state privacy law.
Before You Submit a Privacy Request
Fog Data Science’s Data Services are organized by Mobile Advertising ID (MAID), not by consumer name, home address, telephone number, date of birth, or email address.
For a Data Services privacy request, please provide your device’s MAID if available.
You do not need to provide:
Your full street address or address history
Your date of birth
Your Social Security number
Government-issued identification
Your telephone number
Other detailed personal history
If your request depends on the privacy law where you live, please provide your state of residence for U.S. residents or country of residence for individuals outside the United States. Your city and street address are generally not necessary.
If Fog needs additional information to authenticate or process a particular request, our Privacy Team will tell you specifically what is needed.

Opt Your Device Out of Fog Data Science Data Services
You may submit your device's Mobile Advertising ID (MAID) to opt that identifier out of Fog Data Science data services.
A Mobile Advertising ID is a device identifier assigned by your mobile operating system. Fog uses the identifier you provide to process your opt-out request and prevent associated data from being included in applicable future data updates.
To submit an opt-out request, you will need your device identifier.
Finding Your Mobile Advertising ID
A Mobile Advertising ID (MAID) is different from your telephone number, device serial number, or IMEI.
The location and availability of a MAID depends on your device and operating system. California’s privacy agency provides current consumer guidance for locating advertising identifiers on supported devices:

Please note that some devices or privacy settings may prevent you from viewing or obtaining a current advertising identifier.
If you are unable to locate a MAID, you may contact the Fog Data Science Privacy Team at privacy@fogdatascience.com for additional information about your request. Sending additional names, addresses, telephone numbers, dates of birth, or other personal details will not enable Fog to identify an otherwise unidentified MAID-indexed Data Services record.
Exercising Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, applicable privacy law may provide additional rights regarding personal information, such as rights to access, know, delete, correct, opt out, or limit certain uses of personal information.
Fog Data Science evaluates privacy requests based on the information provided and the privacy laws applicable to the requesting consumer.

California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).

California's Delete Request and Opt-Out Platform
Eligible California residents may also use the Delete Request and Opt-Out Platform (DROP) operated by the California Privacy Protection Agency to submit a single request to registered data brokers participating in the program.
